New Drummer on the EA roster
Well as some of you might have noticed for a long time now
we have had an image of our beloved Drum Machine as our primary drummer on our Myspace page
But we are happy to say that the void has been filled. Joe Ramirez joins the ranks of Electic Attitude’s danger-doling derilects.
We hope the best for Drum Machine and hope that his new job works out. “Good Luck!” As for everyone else, you might have noticed that we have no shows currently booked. Don’t worry!!! It's all lies!
Our next show will be the Westheimer Block Party in Houston Texas.
We are all happy to be home, taking some time to write new songs,
and tone our rhythm section up just how you like it…nice and tight!
We look forward to seeing all of you at the block party. We’re sure
you will be as impressed with Joe as we are!

August 2 2009 | Houston Press
Electric Attitude Laser Laser Laser Beams EP:
"Electric Attitude may hail from Houston, but there's some serious Detroit mojo running through the quartet's veins - the Detroit of the White Stripes and Electric Six , not Iggy and the MC5. Cross-breeding Blake Shepard's lusty, high pitched yowl and sprawling guitar with thumpingly precise rhythms..."City's Gonna Get You, Sucka!" and "Pistolwhip" stop off at Little Steven's Underground Garage on their way to the dance floor. Potent stuff." -- Chris Gray

For those of you who came out to Leave Your Genre at the Door..there are no words...We have some exciting stuff in the works for August including the addition of the "MERCHANDISE SECTION" and an awesome "VIDEO GAME". (it will be available to play on the website and is totally awesome!!!!)

JUNE 15 2009 | Press Release

PRESENT THEIR DEBUT EP LASER LASER LASER BEAMS
Rock four-piece Electric Attitude is proud to announce the release of their debut EP Laser Laser Laser Beams worldwide on May 26, 2009. The album is a six song journey through the band’s funky soundscape filled with big riffs, grooving bass lines, dance beats, and libidinous lyrics. Electric Attitude creates music that moves bodies whether through the blaxploitation-inspired funk of “City’s Gonna Get You, Sucka!” to the dance rock, disco beats of “Pistolwhip.” Also featured on the album is the song “Shot on the Dance Floor” which won the acclaim of URB Magazine declaring Electric Attitude one of the “Next 1000 Bands of 2009.” Laser Laser Laser Beams captures the band’s brazen, high-energy live shows and sexually charged rock swagger in a powerful debut EP featuring the band’s signature sci-fi, pop art on the cover. Singer Blake Shepard, bassist Kwesi Sackey, and guitarist Jordan Bell formed Electric Attitude in the summer of 2008 to take their individual influences in the genres of rock, blues, funk, and soul and fuse them into a modern sound for crowds to stop standing with their hands in their pockets and grab somebody and dance. With a sound that belongs on a space-dust fueled rocket ship traversing the Chocolate Milky Way by a crew of alien strippers and sexy robots; Electric Attitude continue to create an exciting buzz about the new album and the future sounds to come. Electric Attitude have played venues across the southwest region and opened for such national acts as Octopus Project, The Hard Lessons, and The Go as well as performed at various festivals and benefits including SXSW, Westheimer Block Party, and Rock for Houston’s Youth Concert. The band will be supporting the album with a regional tour this summer that includes stops in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, College Station, and Baton Rouge. They will also perform at the Texas Heat Music Festival in Houston with The Rapture, RJD2, and People Under the Stairs over the 4 th of July weekend and with the best local acts in Houston at the Leave Your Genre at the Door concert on July 31st. For more information about the band or for interviews, booking, and other business, please contact Kwesi Sackey at (832)443-8266 or email the band at electricattitudeband@yahoo.com. The band’s website www.electricattitude.com is a great portal to the band’s social networking pages on Myspace and Facebook, as well as their EPK at Sonicbids. You can also follow the band’s tweets at www.twitter.com/electricband. The album can be purchased online at iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody and also in local music stores in the Houston area.
February 12 2009:URB Magazine
"Houston rock four-piece Electric Attitude possesses one of the most apt band names in recent memory. Their abrasive yet danceable blues-inflected style is built upon a foundation of pure rock n’ roll attitude, each element of the music growling defiantly at its listeners as if to dare them to ignore the band. Singer Blake Shepard writhes and struts his way through the funky jungle inhabited by his bandmates, who add a great sense of danger to the proceedings with their spiky riffs and stomping rhythms. “Shot on the Dance Floor,” a libidinous romp laden with deep-fried guitar hooks, will leave you no choice but to give Electric Attitude’s music a shot – where else but the dance floor." Amorn Bholsangngam - URB Magazine/URB.com
December 31 2008:Space City Rock
"Electric Attitude are pretty dang cool...get-down, Stones-ish swagger. " -Jeremy Hart
August 28 2008:Live Review: @ Warehouse w/ Octopus Project
Wes Buhler (Space City Rock)
"Leading the musical charge were locals Electric Attitude... The band warmed up the show's early-birds with a short set of energetic rock songs in which Blake Shepard's nasally (in a good way) howl and guitarist Jordan Bell's lead lines seemed the intended focal points. The band's true attention-grabbing quality, however, was Kwesi Sackey's wah-saturated bass, which added an interesting funk vibe to Electric Attitude's songs... And as any band with even a hint of funkiness should do, they dedicated the last song of their set to the late Isaac Hayes.
Steve Terrell at SXSW | 2008
"This band, from Houston, was an energetic bunch. Singer Blake Shepard is young but a born showman, and he romped through his Stooge-y punk-boogie tunes."
